According to a police report, 27-year-old Latreasa L. Goodman of Fort Pierce, Florida, called the emergency number to report that she had paid for a 10-piece McNuggets and was refused a refund after being told they was out of nuggets.
"This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one," Latreasa L. Goodman told police. "This is an emergency."
She says employees refused to give her a refund, saying all sales were final.
A cashier told police she offered Goodman a larger portion of food for the same price to make up for it, but said Goodman got "irate."
Goodman reportedly yelled, "I don't want a McDouble and small fry," the cashier told investigators.
Dispatchers for 911 told police Goodman called the emergency number three times and on each occasion was told an officer was en route.
Police say Goodman was cited for misusing the emergency call line.
A McDonald's spokesman says Goodman should have been given a refund, and she's being sent a gift card for a free meal.
